The formation of the ICT club became necessary after the a closer looked at the level of ICT penetration within the Junior High Schools in the East Gonja District and Salaga township in particular. The purpose of the CLub is to bring talented students from ten JHS within Salaga township to be trained to serve as ICT deciples in their various schools. Fortunately enough, the Community Information Center has taken delivery of five new computers and their accessories from Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication, that actually increased the number of computers at the centers disposal.
So far we have registered forty students from the ten JHS within Salaga and our next plan of action is to reach to other deprived schools in the district.
